I just upgraded to the latest version of wordpress in the process of creating a new blog post, and all my design is now gone. It defaulted to their template. And there is no where to get in touch with someone to help me. I am not the person who usually makes the posts, so I get that this may just be my novice ability level, but I have to get the site back to it's design-how do I do that???

What do mean "their theme?" The WordPress default theme?
If you replaced the wp-content folder when you upgraded, your design is gone, because it was in wp-content/themes/ and you overwrote it with the new copy of wp-content folder from the wordpress package.
