Older Gallleries Link Broken /Not Displaying

    A client called me today, because some of his galleries weren’t working.

    I recently upgraded him to latest version of nextgen.

    Two most recent galleries (“2013” and “2104” are working) The older ones simply go to the home page when clicking on them.

    When I mouse over the newest galleries the path displayed is:
    http://www.xxxxx.com/picture-galleries/nggallery/picture-gallery/%5B“name of gallery”]/

    When I mouse over the older galleries it simply shows a pointer to

    http://www.xxxxx.com (where xxxxx is his domain.)

    I checked the galleries – all the paths in the “manage galleries” say: wp-content/gallery/[name of gallery]

    The “Page link to” all say “not linked”

    I made sure the permalinks are all month and date.

    I have deactivated every plugin except Nextgen.
    Can’t see any difference in the two kinds of galleries.
    Even went so far as to make sure the album is “not linked” to any page.

    Still baffled.

    OK after about an hour, I think I figured it out, but only after editing each gallery, clicking on an off the “author” and the page links in manage galleries”

    I also had taking every non-working gallery out of the album (all the galleries were in a single album that displays as a page) updating the album, then adding them back in, and updating again.

    It had to be done in that order.

    Go figure.

    That seems like a lot of work. Why?

    I also noticed that the manage galleries lists turned all the page ID to “0” after the edits.

    @radio_mogul – That is very odd behavior and not something I have seen before, at least not in the way you are describing it.

    If anything else comes up with the site, you might consider sending us a Bug Report (http://www.nextgen-gallery.com/report-bug/) so we can get a closer look at what might be going on.
