   I'm new to hosting my own blog, so apologies if this is a stupid question.

   By default, the settings put an email address for me. But, I'm not really using my cPanel to check emails that come as a result of my blogsite. I didn't set up an email address actually in that way.

   So, if I change the email address in my settings, is that ok? I just don't want to mess anything up, know what I mean?

   Hope this is clear. Thanks in advance.

   You should be okay when you change the email address, both in the Settings->General panel and your User Profile.
