i get the falling message for some reason when visiting my blog

    Error establishing a database connection

This either means that the username and password information in your wp-config.php file is incorrect or we can't contact the database server at localhost. This could mean your host's database server is down.

    * Are you sure you have the correct username and password?
    * Are you sure that you have typed the correct hostname?
    * Are you sure that the database server is running?

If you're unsure what these terms mean you should probably contact your host. If you still need help you can always visit the WordPress Support Forums.

my blog has been working fine now for a few months... it was working last night... i have a feeling someone hacked it.

    please, any ideas?

EDIT: my config.php file is the same as it always has been

mysql connection errors like this that occur on blogs that have worked are typically due to the MySQL server being down.

Just like you would see an error if you went to your site and the web server was down, occasionally MySQL goes down.

Your hosted on the same box that this site:

    http://www.moosefrog.net/

    is on.

Its your hosts MySQL server that's crashed -- you need to contact them,
