   New blog in development.

   A couple of strange artifacts (short lines) are now appearing in any browser window (tried Safari and Firefox on Mac).

   Oddly, when you scroll down, they remain.

   All that's different is:

   1. Updated to wp 3.01
   2. Tried 100 ways to have "pretty permalinks" which still don't work (404 on pages). Had hesitantly attempted to alter per this link:

   Don't even think it matters - was local and file not uploaded. Have basically given up for now -- need a clean window and put up tons of content (more important).

   Where the heck would I try to get this dumb, amatuer looking "blip" removed without mucking up the whole deal?

   If you hove over the "strange lines" you'll find that they're part of your Social Slider (which I assume is a plugin).

   esmi, you're a genius! Great catch.

   I don't even use that plugin - perhaps conflicting with sharethis - who knows. 'Just deactivated, and voila, annoying artifact is gonzo.
