   Hey I noticed this morning a comment in one of my first posts (it was about russian mp3s). So the comment echoed that, "Russian mp3, the new L...". That was it. There was a name, and the homepage was set to yahoo.

   So I check again just now and another comment on the same post, but a different name, pointing to msn as the homepage.

   Is this a different form of comment spam? Why yahoo and msn? What does he hope to gain from this? I moderate so I don't worry about it slipping in. I'm still on 1.5.1.2 if that makes any difference.

   Yes. Perhaps they're testing to see whether comments will get posted. Who knows?

   Yep, looks like it was a precursor to some spam.
