I have a self-hosted wordpress powered blog. I would like to SMS a new viewer info when he/she visits the site. So, I need to know when ‘Site Stats’s today view increases and where is it in Jetpack to inject my custom SMS sending code there!

How, when and where Jetpack signal a new viewer?! I would like to add my own functionality there.

    Thanks in advance!

    Jetpack Mechanic 🚀

I’m afraid that won’t be possible, as Jetpack Stats are hosted on WordPress.com servers. We also do not collect or store the users’ cell numbers or personal information.

You could, however, install one of the Mobile Apps to check your stats on the Go.

You could also turn to another Analytics solution like Gosquared. Its API should allow you to plug into your Stats and create custom actions.

    Thanks Jeremy!
So, I prefer to write my own small plugin on header hook, skip well known robots and then send others to my cell phone.

If you would like and had time, may I know how “WordPress.com servers” does this? Do search engines inform them?

    Thanks !
