Notify with a custom message

    Hi Mike

    Apologies if I’ve missed something obvious here but when using the Notify Users About This Post option, is it possible to have it generate with a text box for a custom message rather than (or even in addition to) whatever is defined in the “default message” setting? For a lot of situations a default message is great but if you want to change it for a single mail its a bit long winded to be editing it in settings and then changing it back again?

    You’re not missing anything – as you noted, the only way to change the text which goes along with the post or page content is to change the default message text on the settings menu.

    Changing the page where you select recipients to have an editable message is possible. I’ll put it on my to-do list but no promises as to when it will get done!
