   How can I send email notification to post author when new comment is added on his/her post? Is there any plugin available for it?
   I must have the ability to modify email text.

   I too, am interested in a solution for this. I use IntenseDebate and it only notifies admins.

   I agree, comment notification to administrators is standard. Where you have a single blog with multiple authors it would be useful to have each post author notified of new comments on their posts automatically.
