    Hi there,
I've been trying to do a simple thing like changing the width of my container but its not going anywhere. I have this weird Custom Community theme that has nothing in its style.css
Here is how it looks like -

[Code moderated as per the Forum Rules. The maximum number of lines of code that you can post in these forums is ten lines. Please use the pastebin]

Does anyone have an idea how can I find my container code and change the width for good?

The bulk of the styling looks like its coming from inside the <head> section:

[Code moderated as per the Forum Rules. The maximum number of lines of code that you can post in these forums is ten lines. Please use the pastebin]

You may want to put this in style.css.

    Thank you Davery.
Something is wrong with the post though because I cannot see your code. It says [Code moderated as per the Forum Rules. The maximum number of lines of code that you can post in these forums is ten lines. Please use the pastebin]
Can you use that pastebin? Im really new to wordpress and these forums, excuse me if Im being silly:)

Unfortunately, it seems I can only provide 10 lines maximum of code:
    <style type="text/css">body {background: none #ffffff;color:#888888;font-family:Arial,Tahoma,Verdana,sans-serif;font-size:12px;line-height:170%;margin:0 auto;max-width:100%;min-width:100%;padding-top:0 !important;width:100%;background-position: center top;}body.activity-permalink {min-width: 100%;max-width: 100%;}#outerrim{margin:0 auto;width:100%;}#innerrim {margin:0 auto;max-width:1000px;min-width:1000px;}.v_line

This is only the first few lines of the styling I managed to find. The container code you want to modify is within this jumble of code in the <head> section of your website. You'll want to view your page source code and locate the <head> tag. It should be within the <head> and </head>.

  5. You can't paste more than 10 line here.

But you can use any number of lines at http://pastebin.com/ and just provide a link to that pastebin.

Instead of pasting fairly unreadable CSS, can you just share a link to your site? That way we can all see what you are referring to.

Also if you mean this theme

    http://wordpress.org/extend/themes/custom-community

try re-posting this to that forum with this link

    http://wordpress.org/tags/custom-community?forum_id=5#postform

That way the theme author can easily find your question.

    Thank you very much Jan!
I wrote a message in the Custom Community forum and we'll see what will happen.
Here is a link to the site http://www.iazonata.com/i/
I never thought that changing such a simple thing like the width of your container can be such a venture!
But I guess after it's done I will appreciate it more:D

Ok, so I got a reply on the Custom Community forum.
The solution is as simple as you can get. Instead of changing things in you style.css sheet and having the risk of losing your original code, in Custom Community you can only add /and eventually remove/ css in the css tab in your theme settings. It is quite nice I must say.
