Nothing changes with install/uninstalling of themes

    Hello,

    Recently setup a one-click installation of WP 2.7 via DreamHost.
    I log in alright, and ftp access is good,
    HOWEVER, when I upload themes to the themes folder, they do not appear in the appearance section in the control panel.
    I also tried removing several existing themes (“to make room”) but they, on their part, STILL appear and can be selected successfully as the blog’s theme. What’s going on here?!
