Not working in post excerpt ?

First thank you for a very nice pluging
1 – if you place a short code in post excerpt it doesn’t work same code in content page – how to translate or where in code can you translate downloads ?
3 – suggestions:
being able to set a default text and default icon modifyable on per item basis for download link would be nice
