• I can’t get Store Locator Plus to work in Explorer 8 or 9, but works perfectly in just about everything else (Firefox, Chrome, Safari, etc). It will display the map and search fields, but performing a search yields no results. On another note on the browsers that it is working, I noticed that if I choose a state only and search, I get results exactly the way it should be, but if the user selected state and country, it would default to the center of the United States… which is not good. Shouldn’t it populate the search field with both state and country? My biggest issue in the Non-IE working problem. Any help would be appreciated.

Well, I found the conflict to be the easing slider and force loading javascript. Odd that it would work in all browsers but IE. So on to the next issue. Why would selecting a state and a country only populate a country? Surprisingly, the client said numerous people thought they had to choose a country and a state at the same time when they searched and it obviously only chose the center of the country.

There are patches in 3.7.8 that should resolve much of that, but the JavaScript processor in IE is much more sensitive to problems that other browsers tag as warnings. IE just stops processing the scripts. SLP will not work if script processing does not complete.

How the search features work is documented on the CSA support pages for SLP. http://www.charlestonsw.com
