I have a fresh WordPress install, the only plugin installed is yours.
I need to make the site members-only, so I’ve checked the “Enable Private Site” checkbox from your plugin and Save Settings.

However I log out, and the site is still public.
It’s strange but it happened to me with other plugins…

  • Of course, I can’t know for sure, but the most likely reason is your browser’s cache. Especially when you mention that this problem occurs with other, similar, plugins.

A two step process might be easier for you:

    1. logoff and close your browser, then open your browser again and see if the site is visible
    2. if that doesn’t work, logoff and clear your browser’s cache of Internet pages and such, then see if the site is visible

Sorry for the delay in responding. It was night-time here and I was sleeping.
