Not working…..

When I enable hide mode, the wp-login url does not work, and the new login url does not work. They both redirect to the home page and I can’t log in unless I reset the htaccess file. The login url is set to redirect to WP Admin.
I disabled hide mode and I got a 404 error when i tried to go to my new login url.
??? Is this a bug or am I just not setting it up correctly? Do you have a step by step instruction guide for initial setup?
