Not showing custom post type capabilities

I’m not the author, but I just started using this plugin and needed the same thing. I found if you gave the user role the capability of ‘Manage Options’ under the category of ‘Backend’, which is on the first page of the capabilities, and saved the user role, you’ll get your custom post types available, as long as they were registered with capability type set correctly.
