• I’ve downloaded, installed and activated Redirection. I’ve fixed the line 70 problem. Now I’m trying to redirect, but nothing’s changing.

I had a Blogger blog, and I’ve imported it all over and now I’m redirecting the URLs of the Blogger posts (that are showing in Facebook) so that when people click through, the redirect to the posts on the new WP site.

I’m putting the old Blogger URL in the source slot, showing it as a URL only redirect to URL, and I’m putting the new WP URL for that post in the in the target URL slot. It shows it as an active redirect after I save it, but it doesn’t redirect when I click through. Also, Redirection doesn’t reflect a hit of the 404 page I’m seeing.

    My example is:
    http://www.lawyervon.com/2013_08_01_archive.html#6317639962810597388
    should be redirecting to
    http://www.lawyervon.com/2013/08/daily-download-august-20-2013/

Nothing’s happening. What am I doing wrong?

  • hi, I am looking for an answer to the post from lawyervon also; my situation is slightly different…the redirection is actually working, however the ‘source url’ page content is still visible on the web site. reading the documentation on this plug in indicates if this occurs, ‘something is wrong’. What is wrong and what does it take to fix it?
