Not logging in as admin? (4 posts)

    Hi there,

    I logged into my Dashboard last night, and am only getting a "user" view. I don't know why I'm not being recognized as "admin." I didn't make any changes and could log in fine last week. It's not showing the majority of my control panel. The only things showing are: posts, media, comments, profile, and tools.

    I did go through my FTP and remove my two newest plug-ins, thinking maybe they were conflicting with something, but that didn't change anything.

    Thoughts? Suggestions?

    My site is: http://beechmarketingonline.com

    Thanks in advance!

    Using PhpMyadmin (or another MySQL managament tool), first backup your database. Then navigate to your wp_usermeta table and locate the meta_key called "wp_capabilities" for your user_id. Change the meta-value for this record to:

    a:1:{s:13:"administrator";b:1;}

    That worked! Thank you so much! My question now is, what happened that necessitated the change? Seems weird that it was working one day and not working the next. Again, thank you for the solution!
