Not giving the right IP-adres with review-placer info ?

The ip-adres shown with de placement of a review is one of the tools with which i try to determin if the reviews are fake (placed by buseniss-owner for example) or real.

But is my assumption that is displays the ip-adres of the submitter correct ?
Lately i get a different ip-adres when someone submitted more than 1 review.
Or i get the same ip-adres on two different submissions on two totally different locations of different busnisses, where there should be no connection.

Does WP Customer Review show the ip-adres of the review submitters computer or can i not make that assumption and is there more to it ?

I hope someone knows how this works.
