Not Getting Admin Tools

    I received a message at the top of my admin panel: “WordPress 3.9 is available! Please notify the site administrator.”

    So I went to my dashboard and realized that the Updates section was missing. I also went to my themes section and the ability to add or delete themes is missing.

    I’m starting to think that my Admin login no longer has admin permissions. Which would explain why it’s telling me to notify the site administrator instead of just letting me update to 3.9

    I only have the one login for this site which I have been using as the Admin for a few years. Not sure why it would stop allowing me to access these tools. I double checked the permissions in the user section and it is set to Administrator.

    Any ideas on this?
