Today I moved two websites I have to a new server. I had to change paths in the old Database to reflect the new environment etc. Everything went smoothly except for NextGEN. This seems to cause problems in the two new installations and the exact same problems were apparent.
    1) All links on both sites when clicked would bring you to the homepage. This would only happen when Permalinks were active. The links worked fine when set to the default settings.
    2) When I visit the image gallery page I would get this error ‘ not defined for ExtensibleObject’
    3) I then attempted to rebuild each gallery but when I would visit the particular gallery within the admin area I would get this error also ‘ not defined for ExtensibleObject’
    4) I attempted to delete the galleries but would get the same error when I would attempt to do so ‘ not defined for ExtensibleObject’.
    5) I completely removed the installation of NextGEN gallery but all problems persisted.
    6) I completely removed the installation AND removed the NextGEN tables in the database and the problem still persists.

    Any suggestions would be appreciated!

    Thanks
    Will

@willoftheweb – I would imagine before “removing NextGEN” you may have been able to use the Reset Option under Gallery > Other Options. This generally corrects any migration related issues.

You might consider re-moving the site and starting with the Reset … otherwise there is more NextGEN Gallery details in the WordPress database than the three obvious ones.

    Hi

When I entered Gallery – Other Options I also got the not defined for ExtensibleObject message.

Where else would there be NextGen details in the database?

@willoftheweb – NextGEN Gallery writes to the following core database tables: wp_options, wp_postmeta, and wp_usermeta

    Hi

Thanks for that. I actually changed the DNS records to point to the old installation and I started the entire process again, this time instead of manually changing paths etc in the database I used a plugin called ‘WP Clone by WP Academy’ which made the process easier and this time NextGEN is working fine!!

    Thanks!

@willoftheweb – Great News! Thanks for the update!

Same problem here as described by Will in 1) and 2) and alsow without access to Gallery > other options.
Only in my case it was my hosting provider who migrated my site, so I don’t have access to any previous installation.

Oddly in some migrated sites Nextgen Gallery kept on working fine, but unfortunatly not in the site in which I use Nextgen Gallery most.

What fields in what tables can be causing this problem? How to solve?
