• Been looking at many blogs and find some people type all the text in lowercase. No caps at all.

Is there a some reason for this I’m missing?

  • Human laziness.

My guess it’s a style choice. On my site, I don’t use capital letters on my post titles, and other bits are forced to lowercase as well. This was a deliberate choice, and had nothing to do with being lazy. 😛

I do use capitals in the posts themselves, though. I think it’s simply personal choice.

Thanks guys! yes, sometime too far back to remember, I still remember the teacher saying, “names, countries etc. ” must be in capitals so find reading posts in all lowercase a bit strange.

I suspected it had something to do with style. I haven’t seen so far, all CAPS but guess that will happen, LOL

Ick, all caps would be rather an eyesore I think. Common netiquette says that’s considered shouting.

I tend to drop into a bit of e. e. cummings-esque prose when feeling a bit lazy. And for awhile I always typed my subject titles in lowercase because my font was so huge the capital letters were rather ugly. But I think it’s generally a toss up between people being lazy and a stylistic decision. Generally, though I like to think people are much like myself and do know where the capitalization belongs even if they forego it sometimes.
