I'm also in the boat with those that are getting Error:the plugin is not connected to Facebook.

When you go to connect get Given URL is not allow by the Application Configuration: One or more of the given URLs is not allow by the App's settings. It must match the Website URL or Canvas URL, or he domain must be be a subdomain of one of the App's domains.

All information is in the Apps > <App Name> > Basic as well as I've toggled on and off each of the items that were suggested in the forums. Picked up the latest copy of the PLUG listed in the forums and this has not fixed this issue as well. I'm running WP 3.6.

Ok think I've found something on this that might help. Add a / to the end of the Site URL in the site URL: Mine worked after that.

@punyaixan, your problem was most likely caused by the www-prefix in your App settings but the lack of www in your WP Admin panel.

Fix: in the app settings, set the App Domain field to your domain without www. This will allow both with and without www.

i am also getting these error messages,

Given URL is not allowed by the Application configuration.: One or more of the given URLs is not allowed by the App's settings. It must match the Website URL or Canvas URL, or the domain must be a subdomain of one of the App's domains.

ive tried different versions of the website url and still get the message.

when i add App Domains i get this message:

App Domains: http://bouncephotography.co.uk should not contain protocol information.

    Hi Eddy,

The app domain needs to be without http://.

Use this as the App Domain: bouncephotography.co.uk

The error message you're getting means that the URL you set in your Application Configuration does not match your Site URL. Make sure it matches. Pay attention to with- or without WWW, etc..

I am getting the "Error: The plugin is not connected to Facebook. Please connect. " message as well.

In the front I am getting this:
No recent Facebook status updates to show.
Admins only notice: Did you configure the plugin properly?

    Checked the app settings:
App id and secret key match with my plugin settings
app domain is without http;// protocol like so: marcelleroeper.com
    sandbox is off
    siteurl is like so: http://marcelleroeper.com/

    OK, SOLVED
I had to give FB access to my news (nieuwsoverzicht), that did it.
(i did nit do that earlier because the site I am getting post from is not my own site)

I had this working up to 2 weeks ago, now I get the message - 'No recent Facebook status updates to show. Admins only notice: Did you configure the plugin properly?

Tried all of the above apart from the solution where access was given to FB to his news, I'm not sure where I can give that access.

Any ideas why it was working and now it doesn't, I've not altered any settings?

You've got this marked as resolved but it's still not working for me. Any further ideas?

    Thanks

    @WPyogi:
why would you *not* collect all similar issues in one topic instead of starting similar topics all over the place, apart from that it shows "resolved"? Keeps it well organized for people looking for a solution to the same problem. And you can see, the plugin author is still reading and answering here.

@barrowr - just hit the "login" link. If it worked before, it should log you into Facebook again without any problems.

Right now, the plugin will only keep you logged in for a few hours at most. So everytime you open the plugin settings, it will show that you're not logged in. This is not necessarily a bad thing as it forces you to renew your access token ensuring the plugin can keep on fetching your newest posts. Just hit the "login" link every few weeks.

Where is this 'login' link, do you mean the 'Please connect' link, if so it still doesn't let me connect.
