Not being able to upload any media files (3 posts)

    When i try to upload any media file i get the message
    The uploaded file could not be moved to ../wp-content/uploads.
    i even uploaded some media files via ftp to uploads folder but still i cannot "see" them on my media library on wordpress environment.
    Is anybody who can help me?

    This is a permissions problem. There is a lot of talk on the forum about it, if you'd search. My solution is here but the thread has a lot of good information.

    This won't work. If you upload manually the appropriate meta data doesn't get inserted into the database and WP won't know the files are there. WP won't scan the directory, though it would be nice if it did.

    The path should probably just be wp-content/uploads with permissions 755 or 777.
