Not being able to post comments

    Hi there! I was hoping someone could help me. I have no problem posting comments to my own blog but I can’t post on any of my friends blogs. I keep getting the error message “Error: This file cannot be used on its own.” I don’t know what I could possibly be doing wrong. I try to post comments and I can’t on any other blogs but my own.

    Does anyone know why this is happening? Has it happened to anyone else?

    heh Kafkaesqui, I don’t think that link answers her question. Although I’m not sure why she wouldn’t be able to post on her friends blogs. I don’t think this is a WP issue unless her friends are also using WP.

    Sorry for not being clearer about the issue. All of us run WP blogs. I have an older version than the others and no one ever gets that error message when they try to post a comment to mine. Seems like I get it anytime I try to comment on a post on their WP blogs.

    And I have tried posting comments to their blogs using IE, Netscape and also Opera browsers. I have tried clearing out my cookies and cache and nothing works. However, I would think that if it was a computer issue that I wouldn’t be able to post comments to my own blog as well and I don’t have any problems posting comments or replying to comments on my own blog. It is just massively frustrating to try to comment on someone elses WP blog and getting that error message.
