[resolved] Not behaving at all in WP 3.5.2 (bw_theme_field missing) (6 posts)

I have tried these two tags in a page - a tabulated custom post type and a list of all codes. The second tag just displays as-in in the rendered page, and is not processed at all. The table tag returns an error.

This is what the page looks like in both "Text" and "Visual" modes:

    [bw_table post_type='product']

    [bw_codes]

This is the error I get back:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function bw_theme_field() in /var/www/vhosts/xxx/httpdocs/wp-content/plugins/oik/shortcodes/oik-table.php on line 130

A quick grep tells me that the bw_table quick code calls up bw_theme_field() twice, but it is not defined anywhere in the plugin.

    According to this:

    http://www.oik-plugins.com/oik_api/bw_theme_field/

    it should be located in:

    oik-fields/oik-fields.php

but the "oik-fields" directory does not exist in my installation. Looking through the comments, it seems that "oik-fields" is an optional plugin of some sort, even though it is required for some of the base smart code tags.

    oik-fields can be downloaded here:

    http://www.oik-plugins.com/oik-plugins/oik-fields-custom-post-type-field-apis/

It is not available direct from wordpress.org

The short-code help [bw-codes] is another plugin:

    http://www.oik-plugins.com/oik-plugins/oik-sc-help-shortcode-help-shortcodes/

This is also not on the WP site.

If there were a single and simple place that these plugins could be obtained, and with a clear understanding of the dependancies, they would be a lot easier to use.

For example, fields are listed as being a part of the base oik plugin, which are either broken without installing additional mystery plugins, or are not actually in the base plugin at all.

Hi, sorry about the problems with [bw_table]. It was an oversight. I also discovered the problem myself last week when I was developing some new code. I did wonder if anyone else was using [bw_table] and now I know the answer!

Glad you found the "missing" plugins. They used to be child plugins but I moved them in oik v1.17 See

    http://www.oik-plugins.com/2012/11/oik-v1-17-plugin-relocation-and-oik-plugins-server/

I stopped delivering them as part of the oik base plugin in v2.0

Note: I am currently actively enhancing "oik-fields" with a new shortcode - [bw_new]. So hopefully I will have a solution that doesn't Fatal sooner rather than later.

Hi, a new version of the oik base plugin is available for download from oik-plugins.com. This includes the fix for this problem.

    http://www.oik-plugins.com/wordpress-plugins-from-oik-plugins/oik-base-plugin/

I want to do some more testing before I finalise version 2.1 in this repository.

A new version of oik-fields is also available, but you may no longer need it.
    http://www.oik-plugins.com/oik-plugins/oik-fields-custom-post-type-field-apis/

With regards to which plugins deliver which shortcodes, I'll be improving the documentation on oik-plugins.com to better address this.
Note: Instead of using [bw_codes] you may simply want to use oik options > shortcode help. You will see on http://www.oik-plugins.com/oik_shortcodes/bw_codes/ that I have added the [bw_fields] shortcode to the bottom of the display for bw_codes - but it's displaying more fields than I'd like at present.
