Not all images are being imported from wordpress.com site

    I have imported a blog from wordpress.com to a self-hosted site. All the posts came over fine, but about 200 of 1000 did not get imported. The best I can tell is that they are all from a certain date and backward in time from there. I have tried splitting up my XML file into multiple files before importing which worked initially when ALL the images were missing, but not these last 200 or so. Any thoughts?

    Unless you need the functionality that the Re-Importer plugin provides, use the standard WordPress importer. I don’t think this will affect the functionality, but you never know.

    How does re-importer handle images that are already present?
