Not all header menu pages appear when home page is viewed online (5 posts)

    I added a new page to my home page header menu and saved the menu. However, the new page is not in the header when I view my home page on line. What is likely wrong?

    Can you provide a link to your live site?

    Tom-

    Yes. It's http://www.folkup.org.

    It appears that the problem is that there are more pages that are shown on the header menu on the dashboard than will physically fit on the header on the online home page. There are 9 on the header menu on the dashboard and without doing something I can't seem to fit more than 7 items on the header on the home page.

    Options may be
    Making the header wider?
    Adding another row to the header or adding a second header?
    Changing the font size?
    Reducing the space between the text of the items on the header?

    It some not seem to be a good option to place some of the desired items on pull-down menus.

    Thanks for any suggestions you may come up with.

    do this in your style.css line 1456

    .header_menu_main {
        background: none repeat scroll 0 0 #3D7B69;
        float: left;
        height: 100px;
        width: 100%;
    }

    If you don't want to edit the theme css then do this from plugin
    http://wordpress.org/plugins/custom-css-manager-plugin/

    Use this should work :)

    Thanks,
    vicky

  5. That plugin is good. Or use a child theme.

    Never edit the original theme's style.css file as you'll lose your edits when the theme is updated.
