ScottKR12Last night I installed 3.0.4 and all went fine. Now WP is telling me there is an updated plugin for Akismet so I try to upgrade it and I keep getting errors such as

Could not create directory. /bwcllchosting.com/wp-content/upgrade/akismet.tmp
When I FTP'ed into the server I didn't see an upgrade folder so I created it. It made no difference at all.
Also I want to install a different template. So I uploaded the template folder via FTP to the themes dir and in the past when you go to the Appearance section in the menu then Manage Templates you see any other templates and you can activate it. Well no other templates are showing other then the default one. So I tried Install Templates. Browsed to the zip file on my drive, all I get is errors...
The uploaded file could not be moved to /home/sreich09/bwcllchosting.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01.
uploads/2011/01 does not exist on the server so I created it. It made no difference. Just got another type of error.
I've never had these kind of problems in the past. Any suggestions?
