   Hey guys (and gals),

   I'm a fairly new user of wordpress and I'm stumpted. I'm trying to post to a blog using a series of exteranl applications (deepest sender firefox extention, wordpress dashboard widget for Mac OS X, digg website and the like).

   When I try to post using the digg website, I get an error "
   For the url I'm using: "There was an error - transport error - HTTP status code was not 200"
   Using Deepest Sender, I get "type error: Node has no properties"
   I'm using this url for the entry:
   http://mike.aldersonfamily.com/xmlrpc.php.

   For the time being, I've set the permissions on the xmlrpc.php file to 777, didn't help.

   Anyone have any other ideas? Thanks!

   You can also try with qumana.

   Silly question, but have you verified that the file is there in the root directory (xmlrpc.php, that is). I tried to hit it and got a 404.

   When I tried to access the file directory via http://mike.aldersonfamily.com/xmlrpc.php I get a 403 permission denied error, not a 404. (There was a 404 when trying to load the error page, as it's not setup yet, but that's another story.) The permissions on the file is 777, so I'm not sure why I'm getting a permissions denied.
