After installing the free version and noticing that it worked at helping to prevent malware from being placed on my site I decided to upgrade to the premium version. I figured that it would be nice to have the extra security offered and the extra scanning for malware. Upon upgrading to the premium version everything was great. I logged out and turned my computer off. The next day I was not able to log back into my site. Every time I went to my log in page I was redirected to my home page. When contacting the person that wrote the plugin I was told that the only reason that would happen is if my site already had malware installed. I went and scanned my site with Sucuri and Google Webmaster tools. According to each scan nothing malicious was found on my site. I am sure this is a great plugin to keep EVERYONE out of the site including the site owner. Sorry but the plugin author did not seemed concerned in helping me fix this problem. I have deleted the plugin via my FTP and I have requested a refund. If I do not get a refund I will fill a complaint with the BBB & my credit card company.

Just wanted to post a quick update. I’m working with KYbunnies (the poster) via email (5 emails since this was posted) to get this resolved.

We like to think we have the best customer service in the business. I’ve offered a full refund which we’ll process promptly if the author prefers. Currently we continue to work together privately via email.

    Regards,

    Mark.

For the technological world we live in today security is something second nature to everyone. While nothing is perfect this plugin helps to keep a WordPress site safer. I admit their are bugs in any program not matter who wrote/build the programming. While some companies just gloss over the bugs/problems the people at WordFence actually try and help the customer.

I admit that I was mad when I wrote the review above. Mad because I wanted/needed something to help prevent brute force attacks against my site. Yes, the WordFence plugin provided that. The only drawback that was unforeseen by the developer was that after purchasing the premium version I could not log-in to my site.

Thankfully, this company/developer is more interested in making his product work for everyone than the bottom line with profits. I was refunded the price I paid and in email conversation with the developer to find out the problem.

Thanks for everything Mark. When (no I will not say if because I know it will happen) when, the problem is fixed, I will become a customer again.
