   am new to wp...tried to move my pages and now i cant get into site anymore... i do still have my database. not sure how to re-install and keep my orig db.

   i read on another post that i can re-create the htaccess file, but i dont know a) what that file does b) how to run a command in wp and c) what to do with the file once rebuilt

   here's my site: sherocksink.com

   i dont know what version of wp, other than its not 3.0

   would really appreciate any help.

   If you mean that you moved your blog files from one directory or domain to another, did you change the two URL values in Settings/General before the move?
