Hi, i'm very new to this thing and starting to like it.

My idea is to create a web site and attach a Blog to it. Is WP only a Blog manager or can I also create a web page?

If so, where can I find a theme or template?

    Thank you so much.

Any WordPress theme will work. You can make pages and set which one will be the home page and which one will be the blog page.

In 2.7 go to Settings > Reading and you can set the front page and the blog. In this way WordPress can be used as a website with a blog attached to it rather than the blog being the main focus.

This might help you get started

And more information from the codex

WordPress can do both posts and pages, so there's no reason you shouldn't use it for the whole site. I use it for almost everything except eCommerce.

Look at the top menu - Extend is where you want to go for themes and plugins.
