   Hi, I want to edit my theme, but I'm unsure of which file to put a php script into.

   Currently I'm using the Rin theme, and I'd like to replace the masthead.jpg, which I think is in the header, with a rotating banner/ad php script.

   I'm pretty sure I'd edit the header.php file, but I'd like to be 100% before I start doing anything funny. Here's my site if you'd like to take a look; http://www.jhaf.org/justinsblog Thanks in advance.

   Most likely is in the header.php. With small differences themes usually are built as it's shown in this visual anatomy:
