I am new to WP. I have just installed it and played with it for a while. So far I like its simplicity very much. I think it is great tool for what it is designed to do.

    I have few questions though:

    1. How do I hide the "disabled comment" info on static pages that I have comments disabled for? I do want comments on blog page but static pages do not need comments. There is no need for the information about comments being disabled to be displayed.

    2. I have static page setup as my home page. How do I move blog to another page now? I have created separate section (page) called "blog" but how do I display blog there?

    3. I am running WP on IIS7. I also have WP-SimpleViewer plugin installed but the path to images I think it supports Linux only. I get my "\" replaced with "\\" when settings are saved plus I get extra "/" at the end. Any way to fix that?

    4. After I specified static page as my home page, I get the home icon and tab for my home page. Is there a way to consolidate and leave one tab (home)? See the link (both home icon and "strona glowna") point to the same page:

    Thanks.

#2 I have already figured it out. For those who have the same problem do the following: create blank page called "blog", in Settings/Reading select your static home page and "blog" as blog page. Done.

#1 and #4 also figured it out. I have created copy of the page template and removed comments section. Then I was able to assign this template to pages where I did not want any comments. Same applies to the extra menu item. I have removed it from the header template.

Still have problem with WP-SimpleViewer path though.
