    Hi!

I’ve tried 3 different contact forms so far and none of them are able to email the form. The last 2 I’ve tried are Contact form 7 and Custom contact forms.

CF7 comes up with “Failed to send your message. Please try later or contact administrator by other way.”

CCF says it’s sent the form, but only saves it in the back end….I never get it through email.

There must be something else wrong….as it’s doing this with all so far. I don’t want to spend more of my time trying another 26 contact form plug-ins before asking all the experts on this forum. 🙂

Does anyone have an idea what I’m doing wrong or what I’m missing?

    Thanks!!

  • Do you have the right email settings and does your host allow that type of email connection? For example, GoDaddy’s shared hosting doesn’t allow you to use GMail (or any) SMTP connection — you have to use their custom mail proxy host and port.

Check with your host to see if they’re blocking you from sending mail through PHP scripts and if so, see what alternatives they offer.

Are you receiving any mail from WordPress, like if you sign up for comment notification? If you’re not receiving any mail at all, it may be a sign that your hosting provider has security features set that prevent Apache or php from sending mail.

If you can receive other mail from WordPress, post again and maybe someone will have a bright idea…

    Thanks a lot!
I’ve changed my hosting to Linux.

This resulted in CF7 not giving the error message anymore. It looks like it sends it, but it doesn’t arrive in my email.

I switched to CCF, messing around with the email settings….and finally….it came through!! Awesome!!
