Hi,
I have some major issues with wordpress at the moment as in my previous post and I now think maybe the fact that most of my plugins need updating may be the issue.
How ever I when I click to update they all come back with the following error type, even if I do them one by one...
Could not create directory. /var/www/vhosts/kkwebdesign.co.uk/subdomains/beauty15/httpdocs/wp-content/upgrade/booking.tmp
I hope somebody knows a solution.

That looks like a server folder permissions or ownership problem. Try contacting your hosts, send them this error and ask them for assistance.

does not matter now anyway it is not the problem as even when I de-activate all plugins nothing is working properly.

Permissions issues could be the problem. If the folders are not writable, you can't update them.
You can manually update the plugins, but you still need to CHMOD your wp-content and plugins folders properly.
