[resolved] Non English characters are stripped? (9 posts)

    Hi

I've noticed that EV strips non English characters and characters with accents like èéáà. Not the end of the world but not cool in a world where more people use 'foreign' languages than English.

FYI, or if I'm missing a setting, I appreciate guidance.

    Hi Riz,

What do you mean by EV?

Non-English characters are accepted, the plugin is used by many different languages and I've not heard of this problem.

    Sorry, typo, I meant EM.

Here is a test event that I have the characters 'èéàá' at the end of the event name, which are not displayed on event page (link below) but visible on the event edit page (screen grab link also below).

imm.io is usually reliable but they seem to be having server issues. Here is the file again, please re-try.

It is my bad. Theme strips non-English characters from all posts not just events. I should have tested better.

    I do apologize.

@sarumbear which plugin did you use to add ratings?

How did you retrieve the column 'highest rated' with rating stars??
