Non-coder needs some help (6 posts)

May be the wrong place, I suppose, but I'm the web editor for my school's paper, and am trying to set up a new page. Unfortunately, the theme we use (which I can't change) only has two templates in the theme options that let me switch things around with a GUI.

Long story short, I want the new page to look like this, but with different categories. I am not a coder (I took a web design class ages ago, with pure html), so could someone perhaps tell me an easy way to do that? I tried changing the settings in the GUI on the theme options page, then copying that over in the editor, then resetting those to where they need to be for the Food and Beverage page, but it seems that the code actually refers to those settings, rather than being generated by them.

Lol ARC. I'm a few miles away. ;)

Those are actually widgets that are producing that content.

Is there a way for me to add another widget on?

Right, I know about that. There is no, to my knowledge, widget for producing page content, as you call it. How do I find and add a widget? Do you know of a widget that will do it?

One way would be a plugin. From what I can tell it is a category archive widget if that helps you narrow down what you are looking for. :)
