• I’m brand new to WordPress. I am wanting to use it for a small business website (mine). I only want one page – customer reviews – to be “bloggish.” The rest I want static. I’ve found that little checkbox to make pages static, but the templates I’m finding still have blog buttons on the main navigation toolbar and I’m not seeing a way to edit them off.

Take a look at my website (as it is, still under construction): upstreammobile.com. I LIKE the colors of that template a lot, but how do I:
    1. Add my logo to that template? I had it on another template, does this one just not allow a logo? Seems weird.
    2. I want to get rid of the “blog” button off of the header bar.
    3. I want the search bar not to say “search the blog” inside the whtie search bar itself.
    4. I want to get rid of “articles” and “comments” off the header bar.
    5. What is the “meta” widget? It mentions admin log-in. If I remove that, does that block me from adding on?

I’m thinking I just need a business template instead but I sure like a bit of color – preferrably blues. Any suggestions?

    Thank you!

  • This forum really doesn’t support premium themes. If you have questions about how to edit that theme I would go through their support.

Just about every Theme in the WPORG repository will be suitable for a site with or without blog posts.

I’ve found that little checkbox to make pages static…

I have no idea what this means. Static pages are an entirely different type of content from blog posts, and one cannot be converted into the other.

What do you mean by “blog buttons”? Can you give a specific example of such a Theme?
