Noindex on category “blog” ?

    hello,

    I have wordpress running on my site but basicly i use it as a CMS.
    The thing is i use one category “blog” as my site’s blog. For SEO reasons i was wondering if i should NOIDEX this page or not. Please advice.

    Why on earth would noindexing your blog section enhance your SEO?

    What i mean is will google not focus/rank the blog higher then mainpage if i INDEX the blog section? I want to focus on the mainpage mostly and make it stronger with the blog section added. Sorry noob here 😉 THANKS!

    It will rank the blog higher if the blog contain better quality content that is updated more frequently than the static part of the site. But, at the end of the day, what do you want – more links in Google spread across your whole site (blog included) or just less Google links?
