I have a problem that I spent many hours trying to solve, a problem that I now would like some help with. I am trying to install a specific E-Commerce plugin which I received from my bank that they said works with WP, it is one of the biggest banks here in Sweden so this plugin is indeed a valid one, but every time I try to do that, this message pops up,
"Unpacking package ...
Installs the extension ...
The package could not be installed. No valid plugin was found.
The installation of the plugin failed. "
Although, yesterday I was able to install plugins but once I installed them they never turned up in either "active" "deactived" or "all". Today I can not even install them. I recently updated to the latest wp version. I have also unzipped E-Commerce and tried to put the entire folder directly on the ftp via SmartFTP, it is possible to pull it to that location (via the ftp) but it will not appear at all under "plugins" when i log into my administration panel. The closest I get to is that it shows up as a file under the "Media" tab on the administration panel.
Does anyone have an idea of what might be wrong? I am relatively new when it comes to this, apologize for it.
* I have a custom wp install on a web hotel.
* Uses Firefox,
* sits on Windows Vista;
* use the web hotel "Binero"
* using version 3.3.1-en-US,
* upgraded from 2.8 if I remember correctly.
