I've had this problem ever since cforms first made the major update that added the special note about upgrading, back in 2.5 and 2.6
I can't fully enjoy the best features of WordPress, when I still have to open my ftp program to update all my plugins. The link just doesn't show up. It's there on my other blogs on the same server, but something has hidden it on my main site.

Now I am noticing that I can't delete an inactive plugin, the option isn't in the dropdown. This is seriously driving me nuts, especially since I've had a post on here for over a month now asking for help.
Disable the plugins. See if the link appears now. If so, find the incompatible plugin.

Thanks, hadn't tried that yet. I have now, and still no change. :/

when i click to view the details of the update, the overlay window comes up with the plugin information, but the orange install/update button is not there.
