No Update Available (8 posts)

Ok, the issue is that wordpress is telling me that one plugin needs an update, but when I go to either the Updates area (in Network admin) or to plugins area, there are no available updates according to those screens.

I do remember manually deleting an old plugin I wasn't using by deleting it's folder directly from plugins folder, but after doing so I got the standard warning in the plugins area that something had been deleted blah blah and just reloaded the page and all was fine, but now it's doing this.

    Any suggestions?

Perhaps this could be a coding fault in a plugin's use of the update notification mechanism?

Identify the culprit by removing plugins one at a time until the update message goes away.

  3. Oh! Yes. Read this: http://tech.ipstenu.org/2011/wordpress-erroneous-update-message/

I had the same problem once!

Tried that ipstenu and it didn't work :(

I have restored my DB since then I suppose I could give it another shot.

    Any other ideas?

I just tried again and nothing. It even shows 1 update alert when disabling all plugins.

    What the heck? lol

I did, only 2 matches came up, both in site_meta table. Deleted both. Same issue.

  8. Can you reinstall the plugin?
