I now understand that it is intentional and that the trackback URI is listed once you click the link by comments… I can’t seem to find the correct tweak now though to my htaccess in order to get the new trackbacks to work… I am getting a 404
When you updated did you “synchronize” your wp-comments.php with the new one and did you check out any changes in the permalink structure in the options? I have been doing a continuous update from the CVS and don’t know when I made changes to my htaccess file (oh, yeah on the 6th) but ’tis all well.

I actually just went through and updated the permalink structure without making any changes… they were added automatically by the system I guess. All is working again. Thanks — though it is less obvious that the permalink for an item is actually the trackback uri as well. I guess that works – keeps it simple, but is new for many (mainly MT former users)
Just that you should make sure any changes in files like index.php and wp-comments.php get incorporated into your tweaked versions.
