I did use the Regenerate Thumbnails plugin, but still no images. Only the default.jpg shows. Tried deactivating and reactivating, too. What else?

YARPP’s thumbnail view uses the WordPress “featured image” feature, so the solution is to set those images. Did you see the FAQ and the images section?

If you mean the below tip, I've already done it. It doesn't work.

Second, you can turn on a feature in YARPP to auto-generate appropriate size thumbnails on the fly, if they have not yet been created. Doing this type of processing on the fly does not scale well, so this feature is turned off by default. But if you run a smaller site with less traffic, it may work for you. Simply add define('YARPP_GENERATE_THUMBNAILS', true); to your theme's functions.php file.

Just make sure your posts have "Featured Images" set, as described here: https://codex.wordpress.org/Post_Thumbnails

Jeff, sorry for the late response; I'm on the road with intermittent web access to work on this issue.

Do you mean that I have to set a specific featured image for each of my hundreds of posts??? If so, I'll have to go back to the Related Posts Thumbnails plugin instead of YARPP. At the moment, YARPP is not choosing existing thumbnails, or the first image in a post, or any image at all, even though I did do the regenerate.

So, did I get this right? I'd have to go back to each and every post in my blog?

    Thanks for your help!

For the moment, I've gone back to the other plugin, because it will be a few days before I can act on any suggestion you may have. I'm still hoping to use YARPP, though, unless it means I have to set a featured image for every one of my 483 posts!
