I'm facing a bit of a trouble with my fresh installation of WP 1.5.1.2

My host is running PHP Version 4.3.9RC1 and MySQL Version 3.23.49 on an Apache server, which are more than the minimum requirements of WP1.5.1.2

Yet, after install, everything goes just fine, exept that i cannot see, or access my plugins and my themes in the administration panels.

On plugins i see the "Couldn't open plugins directory or there are no plugins available." message.

On Presentation tab, I cannot see any themes listed, getting this message:

    "Current Theme
    by
The active theme is WordPress Default. The template files are located in . The stylesheet files are located in ."

I chmod all files and folders to 777, and still no luck.

well, did you check your plugin and theme folder under /wp-content/ directory on your server and check if there's anything?

Check if you have chmodded the wp-content directory and subfolders to 777 or 755

Carefully check that all files have been uploaded, and that you have no files with a zero filesize.

It could also be a host issue:

Well I tried, with no luck, some more tricks in order to find out where the problem is. As such, I installed 2 previous versions of WP (1.5.1, and 1.5) which none worked.

I also tried to change all files in themes/default with some files from a new theme, and wp is getting that new theme on, with still no luck in getting the others in the theme list.

    Anyone?
