• I have my posts show a summary with a featured image on my home page. Sometimes the summary shows up next to the image, and in some posts it does not.

Does anyone know how I can get the summary text to show up in all of my posts?

    Thanks

  • A site link may reveal a CSS or HTML issue…without, we would be hard pressed to know.

The problem is in, for example, the post “Whats to Love About Photography”. For some reason no text summary shows up next to the featured image.

On your “Whats to Love About Photography” post there is extra space under the image, whereas on the other posts, there is not.

Go to the “Whats to Love About Photography” post and backspace the text up under the image and see if that works.

Tried that but it didn’t work.

The source code reveals no such text…edit the post in visual view, delete all the text, manually (do not cut and paste) type some text, save, and report back.

Deleted the text, manually typed some new text, no luck.

In many of your other posts, the image has a caption. In this post “Whats to Love About Photography”, there is no caption.
Insert the image with a caption and see what it does.

Also, in the other post which has an image, but no caption, “Making the Decision to Travel to South America”, you centered the image, which wraps it in a paragraph -> <p style="text-align: center;">

Great, thank you. Your tip to add the caption worked on that post and my first post titled “the greatest time to be alive”.

There is one post titled “Why I may never own a home” that none of the tips above seem to fix. Any help with that one?

    Thanks!

Put a line-break between the image and the text. All the other posts seem to have that space.

Just open the post, save it as is, then flush W3 (again).

Thanks, adding the line break to the post fixed it.
