I've got a ticket into the theme creator to see exactly why no formatting is showing up on this site, but I'm not sure he'll get back to me.
His theme has all the formatting at: http://themeforest.net/item/impressions-a-stylish-portfolio-themed-template/69223 but my theme at http://www.clairenovak.com doesn't.
Though the one on my site is modified I've tried reinstalling the scratch template and it doesn't do anything either.
Any ideas what is wrong?

what sort of formatting? Currently on your homepage, your theme is using the_excerpt to display excerpts of content. That strips away a lot of formatting. the_content is used to display full posts with formatting

Right, but take a look at the posts or any of the pages. Text doesn't wrap around images and there aren't even any breaks between the lines. :S
