No recent Facebook posts to show

    Yesterday I started receiving the message “no recent facebook posts to show” I have tried clearing the cache, create a new app secret, removing the plugin and reinstalling it, and changing the permissions on the wp-content/recent-facebook posts.cache. If I view the contents of the recent-facebook-posts.cache file I can see posts in the content. Also, the recent-facebook-posts.cache file shows that it has not been modified since 12/29/2013.

    When testing the configuration on the plugin it says that everything is working properly.

    I am on wordpress version 3.8 and version 1.8.5 of the recent facebook posts plugin.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    This has been resolved. Country restrictions were added to the page. Once I removed the restrictions the plugin instantly started working again. A good way to test this was to log out of facebook and try to visit the page you are using for the plugin. If you are prompted to login to facebook, most likely there are restrictions on the page that will need to be removed.

    Hi Benson,

    Great tip regarding logging out of Facebook, that’s exactly how it works. Basically, the plugin is seen as an unauthenticated visitor. 🙂
